By becoming a member of the BCV you will:

• Support the work of our prison and healthcare chaplains
• Encourage your centre’s members to become Buddhist teachers in primary schools
• Receive updates on events and new initiatives
• Be invited to Buddhist and interfaith events
• Have chance to inform government policy in Victoria and Australia
• Have a say in what BCV focuses on in serving the Buddhist community
• Join more than 40 leading Buddhist organisations in Victoria

Membership Explained

​There are two types of membership available to the Buddhist Council of Victoria Inc.

1. “Ordinary member”

• For Buddhist temples, centres and organisations in Victoria
• Membership is $55 per year to be renewed every financial year starting 1st July
• Ordinary members can vote and stand for elections for the BCV Committee

2. “Friend” and Sangha

• Is membership for individuals and members of the Sangha
• Friend members will receive updates, invitations to events and will have observer status at committee meetings
• Membership is $27.50 per year to be renewed every finacial year starting 1st July
• Members of Sangha can join for free

All members and friends must renew membership annually. The BCV financial year starts on 1st July.
